Bio -Short biography/brief background
El Levite, a gospel reggae artist was born in Obollo Eke, Nsukka, Nigeria to parents of Enugu State origin. His early education began in Enugu and took him through Obollo High School. In 1998, he came to Lagos where he studied History and International Relations at the Lagos State University (LASU).
He is a worship leader, songwriter, recording artist and a key member of the Breach Repairers Assembly music team who started singing at a very young age.
However, it was not until he met the man of God, Pastor Chuks Nduka (Snr. Pastor Breach Repairers Assembly in Lagos), that he knew that he was called and then began his training towards using his talent for ministry.
While in Secondary school, between 1990 and 1996, he got involved in Rastafarian movement by joining reggae club. His interest in the movement grew after listening to Muta Baruka, Joseph Hills, Coco Tea, Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor, Lt. Stitchie, Osmond Collins, Frankie Paul and more…
El Levite gave his life to Jesus and transformed from a ‘ganja’ smoking Rastafarian to a chorister at Breach Repairers Assembly, in Lagos where he has remained till date.
His first album titled ‘Falling in Love’ was released in 2015. He is married to Nike and has ministered in church concerts including Pastor E.A Adeboye outreaches, Gathering of Stars (Chapel of Uncommon Grace, Ikeja Lagos), Street Gee, a monthly concert at Rockview Hotel Lagos organized by Jheri Sixthsence and more…
He has shared stages with Helen Baylor, Righteousman, Jackie McCullough, Kore, Midnight Crew, Daniel Demos, Plentyman NCPC, David Nkennor, and more. He has featured in many projects like Eva Ezi Ogoro, NCPC and more…

Q-Your Challenges in the industry?
A-My challenges are not different from other gospel music ministers. We lack supports, we do our things by ourselves. We need more gospel music record labels, promoters, marketers and others supports because our messages are invaluable.
Q-Philosophy in life?
A-Jesus is the reason for living, find Jesus and you’ll find purpose.
A-Nigeria-My Dad and Mum, Buchi, Righteousman.
Global-Osmond Collins, Papa San, Lt. Stitchie and more..
Q-Your advice to upcoming talents?
A-If you identify your gift and it is music, stay on it, work on it, don’t put money first, let impact be your motive. Be patient, with prayer and consistency, God will surely announce you.
Q-What the future holds-new projects?
A-The future is bright, like Late Myles Munroe said, I will try to exhaust what I carry before I go back home. I am working on a second album. You will get to know when it’s ready.
