MONEY TALKS

Keep calm,

And listen to the tales of the pains on everyone’s mind.

Wink me a smile, from time to time,

Nod me affirmations to show you understand,

Maybe clap hands to applaud.

Money is not everything bro,

but it is the biggest pro,

The major apparel for a good life!

Money is a magic knife!, big sharp cutlasses that shreds and partitions us into different classes.

Money is not Wisdom!

it is the principled principal that dictates the beats of our minds,

Compelling the tick tocks on the wall clocks.

Money is not a cork screw but it is the Opener!

The opener to a gleeful life,

To woo a blissful wife,

The opener to be called a man or tagged a virtuous woman.

Money for the balees and residents of Lagos is “Owo”,

an Igbo tycoon eulogizes money as “Ego”.

Even those North’s nought who flaunt the umbrellas of terror’s terrorism, blood shedding, lives shredding and bomb blasting have allegiance with the “Kudi”

Money paces to and fro,

Money comes and goes,

Virile and staunch like great empires,

ancient as time itself.

Walk through the streets of Lagos and Soweto,

Run through the hearts of America,

Patronize the drinking booths of Las Vegas,

Shop in Dubai of the West Indies.

Money is still the main thing.

Money makes the world go round,

People kill for money,

To bathe you need money for soap,

Money for food,

Money for clothe,

Money for shelter,

Money to pay fees,

Money to run round.

Ask the bachelors about money,

It is the reasons why they are not married.

Money talks!

I heard it once,

Twice!

Twice…

Thrice..

I hear it everyday!

And it says catch me if you can.

Money is the lame excuse for girls going wide,

Why Robbers caress pockets by the roadside,

The reason why people pick pockets,

the fear of the kins who kicked the bucket,

The nightmare of sick patients!

the blazing hell of weak pockets.

Money is necessarily needed,

To live right and feel right.

Money talks ,

Once, twice,

Money screams more than three times!

And it chants: ” I don’t last forever”!

Like Abiku, I go and come.

I bless and curse

I’m a visitor;

A subtle competitor

Fingers write so I’ll oil the palms

I’m the prize of slams “.

Money talks and I hear it speak everyday,

Propagating godly morals like the messiah,

It says “determination is my secret spell

Woo me and court me,

Plan before you chase after me,

Cause even though i acknowledge you,

You need God to keep me”.

I love life, love God and am a collector of rare items like the ash of a phoenix, egg of a unicorn, tears of an Angel and I drink pap with chopsticks.
Creativity found me, though I wasn't lost and am still paying the price of a chosen one.
It has always been the nature of man to confuse genius with insanity.
